International Law

ECTS: 6

Year: 2

Semester: I

Instructor: Antonio Bultrini

The course aims to provide a solid and in-depth introduction to International Law. It is not an advanced/sectional International Law course but it offers nevertheless a particularly detailed and practical discussion of the subject. It may therefore suit also those students who might have already attended a basic International Law course in Italian. Furthermore, special attention is dedicated to some areas which are of great relevance also for Development Economics students, such as the law of the sea. The course thus covers the most important topics of International Law, including: subjects of international law, international law-making, immunities, international organizations, the law of the sea, international responsibility, the settlement of disputes.
